About Me
Excuse the sparsity of this site while I’m trying to find the time to update it or develop something flashier.
I have my hand in a number of different disciplines, and as a result have to hurdle learning curves quickly and absorb new skills and information in a short period of time. I cannot learn everything, but that doesn’t mean that if I don’t see how the effort would immediately benefit a client or improve my services, that I won’t give it my best.
Currently, I maintain a PT position at the City of Edina, as Producer and Editor of their local monthly talkshow, “In Edina.” For the humble endeavor it is and has been, my team and I have done pretty well with it, having been nominated for a local Emmy in 2009 and winning the Northern Lights Award of the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators numerous times.
Outside of the City, I am self-employed as videographer, video editor, web designer/graphic designer, and web developer…among other things. I have developed and designed websites for EdinAlarm, (the interior pages are done, I’m just waiting on copy), Entropy Films, Dr. Angela Wandera, and Edina Crime Prevention Fund, (which I developed, but Kaylin Martin designed.)
Summer 2011
I spent the first half of the year in a 6 month contract with Entropy Images, (a stock footage enterprise of Entropy Films for which I’ve also done a little freelance work), as Head Editor. I also shot a little b-roll that is currently for sale at Getty Images…like this. Most recently, I spent a half day documenting a creative phase of a new work by artist, Perci Chester. (I’d say more, but I’m sworn to secrecy until we decide how to proceed with the raw video.)
Speaking of “…among other things,” I will be starting a short contract with counselor, therapist, and teacher, Joseph Bailey, to design and author his latest DVD about transformational experiences and how they relate to recovery.
